Initiatives & Programs Ensure Family Safe & Secure Stability

To achieve
family stability and create an atmosphere of safety and stability in the UAE
society of all groups and ages, the Ministry of Community Development prepared
a number of legislations and laws that ensure the preservation of rights,
including, but not limited to: unknown parentage law, domestic violence
protection law. Additionally, it introduced a package of programs that enhance wellbeing
throughout the year to contribute to the upbringing generations connected to their
national identity and belonging to their community, under a government that
provides all ways of support and empowerment to the members of the community in
collaboration with relevant authorities.
The
Ministry also offers many advanced electronic services aimed at protecting and
supporting individuals in the UAE society of different ages. One of these
services is the smart safeguard system for early abuse which aims to early
detect potential abuse against any family member, enhancing its stability, and
supporting a better wellbeing on a community scale, ultimately safeguarding its
entity and confirming its effective role in society development.
The
Ministry also launched a number of awareness educational stories with a thoughtful
approach written by a group of young children under the supervision of writers and
authors to train them on writing stories and narratives; the stories included
words that pulsate with children's hopes and dreams during the next fifty
years, in line with the government's vision, in collaboration with Sharjah Child
Friendly Office and Al Hudhud Printing and Publishing Company, in both Arabic
and English languages.
The
Ministry also issued a guideline for preventing domestic violence, in addition
to awareness campaigns on the prevention of domestic violence. They also
trained child rights coordinators in a number of educational, health and sports
institutes to provide support for children who may be at risk of abuse, and conduct
awareness workshops on the Child Rights Law. The Ministry also provides a
service for receiving reports of abuse that are directed to any family members
and finding the right solutions.
