Within this framework, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched its Scholarship Programme to support and empower ambitious Emirati talent, and to prepare a diverse and well-rounded generation of diplomats. The programme aims to cultivate individuals with a deep understanding of different cultures and strong skills to engage in meaningful dialogue, enhancing their global presence and enabling them to represent the UAE with professionalism and distinction. It also equips them to contribute effectively to international decision-making, support the development of the UAE's foreign policy, and reinforce its global standing

Offering access to more than five fields of study across over 60 prestigious universities worldwide, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship Programme opens promising pathways for outstanding Emirati youth to excel in diplomacy and its various disciplines. These include artificial intelligence, data science, international relations, political science, international law, international trade, economics, cybersecurity, security studies, and media and communications. The programme adopts a comprehensive educational pathway that combines academic excellence with practical training and field experience. The journey of an Emirati diplomat begins with overseas scholarship studies leading to a bachelor's degree, followed by enrolment at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, and culminates in joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and appointment to the diplomatic corps upon fulfilling graduation requirements
