In line with UAEU's vision to prepare a generation capable of addressing future challenges, and as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the educational, academic, and research landscape, the University has announced the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses as a mandatory university requirement for all undergraduate students across various academic disciplines. This step aligns with the national directive to strengthen AI competencies and is part of the University's AI Agenda 2025-2031.

The inclusion of AI courses as a university requirement marks a strategic milestone in reinforcing UAEU's position as a leading institution in higher education and research. This initiative, alongside ongoing efforts to integrate AI across academic curricula, reflects the University's commitment to delivering a modern, future-focused education that is aligned with national priorities and global advancements in this critical field. By incorporating AI into its general academic framework, UAEU empowers students with the foundational skills needed to confront emerging technological challenges. It enables them to actively engage with modern technologies and utilize them in the service and development of society.

This initiative aims to provide all undergraduate students regardless of their academic major with essential AI knowledge and strengthen their capacity to work with cutting-edge technologies that now underpin a wide range of vital sectors. To meet the diverse needs of students, UAEU will offer four preliminary AI courses, each tailored to specific fields of study. These are: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence: Fundamentals and Applications, Artificial Intelligence for Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence for Medicine. Students will be required to select one of these courses based on their academic discipline and future career interests.
