The marriage grant
provided by the Ministry of Community Development comes within the context of
government support that the leadership is keen to provide to UAE citizens,
especially young future spouses, enabling them to build stable and cohesive
families within the framework of achieving social cohesion which confirms its
role in supporting the aspirations of young people and supporting them in
building new families that are stable both financially and morally.
To facilitate the
acquisition of the marriage grant, the ministry has implemented a number of
continuous improvement procedures over the past three years, particularly
regarding the required documents, after completing electronic connectivity with
relevant federal and local authority making it easier and smoother for
applicants to obtain and provide some documents quickly, thereby expediting the
process of obtaining the marriage grant.
It is worth mentioning that the marriage grants which is worth AED 70,000 and is granted to beneficiaries based on several conditions, including that both the applicant and his wife must be UAE nationals, the age of the husband is not less than 21 years old and the age of the wife is 18 years old at the time of marriage contract, and the individual's net income does not exceed AED 25,000 dirhams with a mandatory attendance of the awareness courses for both spouses, organized by the Ministry of Community Development through its website www.mocd.gov.ae
